Want to help increase Youth Mental Health Awareness? Want to help teach others how to help individuals who may be experiencing a mental health crisis? Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, schools, teachers, peers, neighbors and other caring citizen how to help youth (ages 12-18). Youth Mental Health First Aid introduces mental healthy challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5 step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, and eating disorders. You MUST register no later than July 20, 2020 Registration for this event is transferable, but non refundable. If you are unable to attend and would like to transfer your registration to someone else, please contact holivares@vbisd.org no later than July 20. An instructor application is required for all attending.
